Sprechen Sie Fun? It’s time again
for that uniquely Texan version of Oktoberfest,
Wurstfest in New Braunfels. Billed as a salute
to sausage, enjoy great music, dancing and
entertainment in addition to wonderful foods.
Savor their famous kartoffel puffers (potato pancakes), sausage,
and even fried pickles. Of course, no German fall festival is
complete without beer; German, Texas, domestic, as well as craft
beers are available.
Entertainment is everywhere, from Alpine and Bavarian
oompah bands to yodelers. Stroll the shopping area for Christmas
ornaments or cuckoo clocks. It all happens at Wurstfest! Pull up
your lederhosen and join us Sunday afternoon (departing from
Cowan Creek parking lot) or Monday evening (departing from
the Social Center parking lot).
Ticket cost includes transportation and admission.

Join us for our 4th annual
fall cruise aboard The Commodore, a genuine
paddle-wheeler. Relax as we sail along the Lake
Austin shoreline, past Mt. Bonell and the
Pennypacker Bridge, and passing beautiful
homes and scenery. As the sun sets, supper will be served buffet-
style – Hula Hut’s famous Shiner Bock marinated beef and
chicken fajitas, Spanish rice, refried beans, lettuce, pico, cheese,
sour cream, chips and salsa. Soft drinks, coffee, and dessert from
Hey Cupcake! are included with dinner. A cash bar will be open
during the cruise. Lights twinkle on and warm breezes whisper
rollin’ . . . rollin’ . . . rollin’ on the river.
Note: Riverboat is not wheelchair accessible.

Remember Nancy Sinatra’s theme
song, These Boots Are Made for Walking? Well,
boots are still fashionable and walking all the
way to Broadway in the 2013 Best Musical,
“Kinky Boots” by Cyndi Lauper.
“Kinky Boots” is based on a 2005 film set in Northampton,
England. When Charlie Price suddenly inherits his father’s
shoe factory, all he sees is $ signs! He quickly learns that the
handsome men’s shoes his father made are no longer in style.
Facing ruin and closure of his beloved factory, a despondent
Charlie meets Lola, the sassy and fabulous drag queen. Soon
Charlie and Lola are in business together creating custom boots
for drag queens, and their lives are changed forever. This is a
heart-warming tale with rock and classic Broadway tunes and
an uplifting story; however, the show does contain subject matter
that may not be suitable to everyone.
Before the musical we head to the Domain for dinner on your
own. Choose from many restaurants such as Albert Finn, Daily
Grill, North, Kona Grill, California Pizza and others. Drop-off
and re-boarding will be at Albert Finn.
Ticket cost includes transportation and orchestra rows D-Q
seats for the show.

Enjoy a unique, fun-filled evening at
the outdoor Hill Country Galleria. You may
sample wine at your own pace at 15 shops/
restaurants as you are on your own to browse
the many stores. For dinner choose from
over 20 restaurants ranging from All Star Burger to Hasler
Brothers Steakhouse. Tadashi Japanese and Buenos Aires Café
complement the exotic food offerings. For a real treat, pop into
Whole Foods Market to stroll the various aisles and fresh produce.
With live music and plenty of places to rest, you will enjoy every
minute of this relaxing evening. Maps of wine sampling locations,
dinner suggestions and shopping tips will be provided
Note: The outdoor Galleria covers three short blocks with
benches for resting. Wear comfortable shoes and a hat if the
