March will be held in the Social Center
Ballroom.
Newcomers are welcome to join the
Singers Club after the spring concert,
when we will begin rehearsing for our
Independence Day concert. The first re-
hearsal, on April 21, will take place at the
Cowan Creek Amenity Center instead of
the Social Center Ballroom. New mem-
bers may pay their dues of $10 at that
first rehearsal, online, or at the Member
Services Office.
Dulcimers - a SIG of Singers
Our annual benefit concert for the Car-
ing Place was presented on January 25.
Through your generous contributions,
we raised $2,210 in cash donations and
400 pounds of food.
We continue making music together
and performing at local nursing homes.
Spring festivals have many of our mem-
bers traveling to Irving, TX, Baton
Rouge, LA and Palestine, TX. Practice
is in Rooms 3 and 4 of the Activities
Center, Saturdays from 10 a.m.-noon
and Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. Visitors are

Social Bridge

We play four games per weeek in the
Activities Center on Texas Drive.
Bridge begins at noon; players should ar-
rive at 11:45 a.m. onMondays, Wednesdays
and Fridays, Room 1. Bridge takes place
on Thursday in Room 3 and begins at 5:30
p.m.; players should arrive at 5:15 p.m.

CHARTERED CLUBS
to watch or play one of the few spectator
sports in Sun City Texas! Come and have
some fun! Our grandstand cover makes
watching games more comfortable and
enjoyable.
Our spring season starts onMarch 2 and
ends on May 29 with multiple games on
Mondays and Thursdays. Registration
is $10 for the season, available through
the online ticketing system on the Sun
City Texas website. Regular practices and
pick-up games take place at 10 a.m. on
Tuesdays and Fridays. We invite all new
and existing residents to check out our
senior slo-pitch softball. There is also our
very active and self-supporting traveling
team, the Sun City Warriors, for more
competitive players.

Solos

The Solos Chartered Club is open to all
Sun City Texas residents. Our goal is
to have a good time participating in so-
cial, intellectual and sporting activities,
including bowling, golf, adventure group,
card games, day trips, book club, wine
tasting, dining out, traveling, etc. Dues
for 2015 are $20 and may be paid on the
Sun City Texas website or at the Member
Services Office. At Thirsty Thursday, we
celebrate birthdays, have potluck meals
and share in social activities. Bring your
beverage of choice, a glass and let us wel-
come you to our family of friends.
Upcoming Social Event
Lights, Camera, Action! Sun City Solos
gather around for an evening with the
stars on Saturday, March 21. You can
come dressed as your favorite actor or
actress (or not). Walk down the red car-
pet as the paparazzi take photos and/
or stop you for a quick chat. Enjoy an
evening filled with fun, good food and
great entertainment.

We invite you to come by the studio and
see what we have to offer. We do a vari-
ety of work with glass (copper foil, kiln-
formed, jewelry and mosaic) and we have
a lot of fun.
We are open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.,
week days. Classes are available from
time to time. Check with the club to find
out the dates for the class you would like
to take, then come check us out.

The Sundancers square dance on Mon-
day evenings and round dance most
Sunday evenings. All square and round
dancers are welcome to come and join in
the fun. The club dress code is casual.
Square Dance Schedule
Beginner Lessons: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Workshop: 6:30 to 7 p.m.
Square Dance: 7 to 9 p.m.
All March dances will be in the ballroom.
Workshops will be Mainstream on
March 2, 9 and 16. The workshop on
March 23 will be Plus Level.
Special Dances
Graduation Night:
Graduation for
the beginner class will be held Monday,
March 30 at 6:30 p.m. This is a very
special occasion, as class members have
worked very hard and are anxious to
become regular members of the club.
Anniversary Dance:
Sundancers held
an Anniversary dance January 19 to
celebrate 18 years as a Chartered Club.
Numerous dancers from clubs in the sur-
rounding area joined in the celebration.
Special guests included individuals who
were founders, officers and members of
Sundancers’ first square dance class.
