Resource Guide & Directory?

If you’re returning from being out of town and missed the
June roll-out of the NEW Sun City Texas Resource Guide &
Directory, don’t worry, you can still pick one up!
Please bring your Member ID or a driver’s license with a Sun
City Texas address to the Member Services Office, located in
the Social Center. The office is open Monday through Friday
between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The new directory includes updated
community maps, CA and Georgetown contact information,
resident contact information and local businesses who would
like to work with you!
As always, we encourage you to bring your old Sun City Texas Di-
rectory so that we can properly dispose of it, to protect your privacy.
Town Hall: Avoiding and
Recognizing Investment Fraud
Friday, September 5, 10 a.m., SCB

Representatives from federal and state law enforcement
agencies will speak to Sun City Texas residents on Friday,
September 5 about the warning signs of investment fraud
and what investors should do if they suspect they have been
defrauded. Ms. Sharon Pierce, Executive Assistant United
States Attorney of the Western District of Texas; Mr. Bob
Elder, Communications Coordinator & Investor Education
Specialist of the Texas State Securities Board; and Mr. Drew
Zimmerman, Attorney Adviser with the U.S. Securities and
Exchange Commission’s Office of Compliance Inspections
and Examinations, will highlight patterns of investor fraud
and various resources available for investor protection and
education. The presentation starts at 10 a.m. in the Social
Center Ballroom.
The presentation will explain how investors can defend them-
selves against promoters of fraudulent or inappropriate in-
vestments by being aware of the tactics they use, by carefully
checking all the investment material they provide, and by
investigating their credentials before committing any money
to the investment opportunity.
Changed your mailing address?
Remember to change it back!

If you left for the summer and changed your Sun City mailing
address to your summer residence address, please remember
to stop by the Member Services Office and change your mail-
ing address back to your Sun City home address. Failure to
do so will result in all of your Community Association mail
(including your
Sun Rays
) being delivered to your summer
address and not your Sun City home.
