ANTIQUES ROADSHOW ADVENTURE
Sun City resident Lyman “Len” Barry was one of
about 5,000 Central Texans who took part in the
PBS
Antiques Roadshow
event when the show
visited Austin on June 28. He showed an oil paint-
ing from the late 1800s he and his wife, Glenys,
bought in England in 1993. “While it didn’t prove
to be a ‘treasure’ in
Roadshow
terms, its value to
us is simply as a lovely old portrait of a beautiful
young Victorian lady,” Barry said. “It was fun to
talk to the other people and see the variety of
unusual items they brought for appraisal.” Barry
entered a random drawing for free tickets earlier
this year. The Austin episode is scheduled to air
in 2015.

discussed how reflexology can improve one’s
health overall, including sleeplessness. Several
people shared personal reflexology experiences,
and Ginny demonstrated the technique on three
attendees who had health issues.
