Our next training classes will start in
mid-September. Watch for a pre-training
class meeting in mid-August.
Our next Club general meeting, without
dogs, will be July 16, 6:30 p.m., in the
Atrium. Guest speakers to be announced
prior to the meeting.
Lost your pet, or found a stray dog or
cat? You should call the Georgetown
Animal Shelter, 512-930-3592, to re-
port it, in case someone else turns in
the animal or is looking for the animal.
You should also call either the Cowan
Creek Amenity Center or Texas Drive
Social Center Monitor’s station to re-
port the lost or found animal. Finally,
call the Pet Club at 512-639-2085. We
can spread the word through our 185+
member households, and try and help
reunite animal to owner.
Anyone with pet-related questions or
issues is invited to contact the Pet Club
and we’ll try our best to help or answer
your questions.

Pickleball Club
Contact: Sue March,
Membership in the Pickleball Club has
grown to more than 350 members!
Thanks to the two new courts just put
in by Pulte, we have plenty of time for
everyone to come and play. The Pickleball
Club has developed a court usage sched-
ule to reserve times for specific skill level
groups of our members. Our goal is better
court utilization and making sure there
is time for everyone to play!
Pickleball Training
There are lots of new Pickleball play-
ers and not everyone is familiar with
the game. The club offers introductory
classes free of charge. We provide paddles
and balls for these classes. All you need
to bring is workout clothes, court shoes
and a desire to learn the game. Most
people are hooked after one class! Two
courts are reserved every Monday (from
10 a.m. to noon), Wednesday (from 8-10
a.m.) and Thursday (from 6-8 p.m.) for
beginners’ use. Contact Richard Bradley
(
to get in-
formation or schedule your participation
in a class. You won’t regret it!
Like most life sports, Pickleball is easy
to start but offers enough challenges to
provide many opportunities for growth
and learning. In the fall, the club will
again offer intermediate level training.
These events will be open to Pickleball
Club members at a nominal fee.
