As one of the few spectator sports in
Sun City Texas, we invite you to come
watch, come play, come have some fun….
at beautiful Del Webb Field! The new
grandstand cover makes watching the
games more comfortable and enjoyable.
The summer season began on June 9 and
will end on July 28. Games take place
at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Monday and
Thursday mornings. There are also prac-
tice and pick-up games every Tuesday
and Friday beginning at 9 a.m.
There is also a very active, self support-
ing traveling team, the Sun City War-
riors, for the more competitive player.
Annual dues are $12, with an additional
$10 for each season. Once you sign up you
will be assigned a team. Gals and guys

We are proud to be part of the Sun City
Texas community. We support the Boys
&Girls Club of Georgetown, Georgetown
Police Blue Santa Program, and our Sun
City Texas veterans through the Fort
Hood Officers Spouses Club assisting

The Solos chartered club is open to all
Sun City Texas residents. Our goal is
to have a good time by participating in
social, intellectual & sporting activities
including, for example, bowling, golf, ad-
venture group, card games, day trips,
book clubs, wine tastings, etc.
The 2014 Solos dues are $20 and may
be paid on the Sun City Texas website or
in the Member Services Office.
Solos’ regular weekly Thirsty Thursday
is held Thursdays at The Oaks from 5:30-
7 p.m. Where we celebrate monthly birth-
days, enjoy potluck meals, and share in
social activities. Bring your beverage of
choice, a glass and let us welcome you to
our family of friends.

No matter
what your political preference is, we are
all proud to be here in America. Wear
your red, white and blue on July 23 as
we celebrate the freedomwe enjoy in this
great land. We are planning a gigantic
potluck in the air-conditioned comfort
of the ballroom. What goes well with a
good old-fashioned indoor picnic? Old-
time Rock ‘n Roll, of course! Watch for
more info to come.

Even though we have no monthly meet-
ing in July, our Studio will be open for
business. Our hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
weekdays.
July is the month for the Orientation
to Stained Glass Class. Sign-up is on
Tuesday, July 1, beginning at 9 a.m. in
the Studio. Please bring a check in the
amount of $45made payable to SCTXCA.
The class is limited to the first 10 people
that sign up. Classes start the next week
on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4-7
p.m. for a total of six classes.
We invite you to come by and see what our
talentedmembers have created. We have
a nice assortment of items for sale; includ-
ing copper foil, kiln-formed glass, mosaics
and jewelry. Hope to see you soon!

cise? Do you want to stimulate your mind
and body while having fun? Then table
tennis is for you!
Table Tennis is one of the world’s most
popular sports because it promotes stam-
ina, flexibility, coordination and cognitive
development. The club offers socialization,
friendly competition, instruction, and tour-
naments. Tables, balls, and paddles are
available in the Salado roomat the Cowan
Creek Amenity Center whenever the room
is not being used for other events. Check
