The following special events are taking place in July and early August.
Sertoma’s 4th of July
Enjoy one of the largest family events in
Central Texas—Sertoma’s July 4th festiv-
ities. On Friday, July 4, San Gabriel Park
will be filled with more than 80 booths, a
petting zoo, parade, live entertainment,
train rides, fireworks and more. Activities
run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For informa-

Movie in the Park
On Thursday, July 17, the Georgetown
Parks &Recreation department will pres-
ent a free viewing of
Saving Mr. Banks
.
The movie will be held in the Gazebo Area
of San Gabriel Park in Georgetown. The
movie will begin at sunset, approximate-
ly 8:45 p.m. For more information, visit

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS BINGO
Bingo in the Ballroomwill be held on Sun-
days, July 13 and 27 in the Social Center
Ballroom. Doors open at 5 p.m. and games
begin at 6 p.m. Cash prizes will be award-
ed. All proceeds support various charitable

GARW Fashion Show
On Thursday, July 17, the Georgetown
Area Repulican Women will present a
Summer Splendor Fashion Show benefit-
ing the Audrey McDonald Scholarship.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. in the
Social Center Ballroom and lunch will be
provided. Tickets are $40 per person. Visit

The fashion show is a fundraiser for four
scholarships awarded to one senior female
student at Georgetown, Florence, Jarrell,
and East View high schools.
