What screams, claps, yells, smiles, waves,
applauds, and cheers? Why, it is the Boost-
ers at athletic events, of course! Come
and enjoy the friendship of your fellow
Boosters while supporting our George-
town High School Eagles.
Join the Boosters for $10 per year. Your
attendance at their sporting events
means so much to these young athletes
and shows them that their community is
behind them. Coaches and players are
already hard at work for the fall season.
There is a variety of sports played over
the school year. They include baseball,
softball, basketball, cross county, football,
golf, lacrosse, power lifting, soccer, swim-
ming, tennis, track and field, volleyball,
and wresting.
Hopefully, our 7-on-7 football team will
be playing in the state tourney in College
Station. We wish them the best of luck.
Football Kickoff
On Sunday, August 10 at the Cowan
Creek Amenity Center we will have our
football kickoff. Join us as we dine and
socialize with the football players and
their coaches. Time will be announced
on our web page.
Volleyball Kickoff
The volleyball kickoff will be on Thursday,
August 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cowan Creek
Amenity Center. Dinner will be served
at 6 p.m. Join us as we dine and social-
ize with the volleyball players and their
coaches. Reservations required.
Visit the website to check game schedules,
scores, dinners, and future activities. Let
the Sun City Texas Eagle Boosters be-
come part of your retirement experience.

July Meeting
It’s summer in Central Texas—your grass
and plants are parched and your water bill
has peaked. What can you do? You might
consider rainwater harvesting and other
water wise landscaping practices. Paul
