If you are interested in becoming a candidate for the Board of
Directors, you may pick up an “Application to Serve as Director
of SCTXCA” in the Member Services Office. These packets, with
the necessary forms, will be available beginningMonday, March
3. With your application, be prepared to include a one-page brief
biography for posting. Your picture may be taken at the Member
Services Office or you can include a personal photograph.
The first day that a candidate can file (turn in their application)
will be Monday, March 17; the last day to file will be the close
of business on Monday, March 31. Per the requirements in the
Voting and Election Policy, a Candidate Forum is scheduled for
Monday, April 21 at 9 a.m., so that all residents will have an
opportunity to hear from the candidates and submit questions.
Pre-Qualified candidates may begin campaigning as soon as
their application has been approved by the Elections Committee
and do not have to wait until the filing period has ended. The
Elections Committee will meet with all pre-qualified candidates
on April 1 to review the CA-sponsored campaign opportunities
and the Voting & Election Policy.
The Elections Committee will be mailing out one ballot to the
owner of each lot. These ballots are scheduled to be mailed on
May 1. The Elections Committee will provide further details
to the community as the filing period approaches. The ballots
must be returned by the homeowner either in-person at one of
the Monitor Desk locations, or by mail, before the end of the
balloting period, which is two (2) hours before the beginning of
the Annual Meeting on May 22.
