WHY SHE ENJOYS TRIATHLON TRAINING:
Colleen
said that it makes her feel good and she enjoys challenging
herself. This interview was done on the fly, literally, while
she was waiting for a plane to depart at ABIA. I suspect
she was walking laps in the terminal while I was talking
to her on the phone. She told me her greatest inspiration
was her 88-year-old mother who walked the beach for
two miles every morning. In talking to her, I realized
that she rarely sits still. She was always taking a plane
to somewhere, or driving, or simply “on the move.” If you
ever want to buy her furniture, you can be sure she will
never sit on it. She gives off energy and joy of life―wish
she could bottle it; I’d be first in line to buy some.
