Master Plan Presentation

The City of Georgetown has been developing a Bicycle Master Plan that will serve as the city's blueprint for future bicycling transportation enhancements. City leadership is in the process of completing the plan and expects to finalize and adopt it this Fall. The goals of the plan are to ensure safety, improve connectivity, enhance equity, support the economy and foster a bicycle-friendly culture. As a member of the Sun City cycling community, this plan will likely effect you. Recognizing Sun City's very active cycling population, Ray Miller, City of Georgetown Transportation Planning Coordinator, requested the opportunity to meet with the Sun City cycling community and present the plan. This presentation, sponsored by the Sun City Cyclists Club and the Sun City Community Association, will occur on Monday, Oct. 7 p.m. at 1 p.m. in the Lone Star Room at the Retreat (1220 Cattleman Drive). This will be a great opportunity for us to hear and comment on the city's plans to encourage and facilitate bicycling, an activity we care about deeply. Please plan to attend.
