Take a walk on the wild side with two new IMAX movies – Pandas and Amazon Adventures. Pandas is a cross cultural collaboration that becomes a life changing journey for a feisty panda cub named Qian Qian as she takes her first steps outside her protective habitat and discovers her true nature. Meet a Chinese researcher, an American biologist and a scientist from Inner Mongolia, who are preparing captive-born cubs for their life in the wild. Prepare for cuteness overload! Amazon Adventures 3D is based on the true story of Henry Bates and his 11 year journey through the Brazilian Amazon. During his travels, Bates identified over 8,000 species new to science and his work led to the discovery of mimicry – the ability of certain animals to adopt the look of others in order to survive. This visually stunning film will take you thru the Amazon rainforest and open your mind to an amazing world of discovery. Between the two films we will break for a sack lunch at the museum cafe. Choose a sandwich with ticket purchase: chopped bbq brisket with jalapeno slaw; smoked chicken salad with lettuce and tomato; veggie with cucumber, carrot, radish, tomato, lettuce and hummus.
