Enjoy another chapter of Uniquely Austin as we visit sites that have created more than just a footnote in Texas history.  Our story begins at the State Cemetery, a museum of history unlike any other.  Featuring fascinating headstone designs and unusual inscriptions, this site honors the people who have made Texas so Texas.

Lunch on your own is next where you may select your own wholesome meal at Whole Foods.  Known as the mothership of organic grocery stores in Austin, stroll through the aisles, visit the kiosks, assemble your perfect picnic, and meet on the roof top for lunch with a view.

Following lunch our story continues at the State Capitol, the home of our state government. History tales from a well versed guide take us through the Senate and House chambers, Governor's public reception room and the Supreme Court.

Our final story provides a history lesson and tour of the University of Texas Tower.  Ride the elevator up 30 stories, step out under the clock tower for a magnificent view, and explore the stories that make this tower a unique piece of Austin.

NOTE:  Security clearance required at the Capitol and UT Tower.  No bags allowed on Tower tour; only cell phones or camera.  Lockers available.

Ticket cost includes transportation and tours.  Maximum tickets: 25
