Let’s go to the greatest State Fair in the country where you will find food, cars, exhibits and the famous Fletcher’s Hot Dog. There is so much to see including Big Tex who speaks his one-liner “Howdy, folks.”  Livestock shows abound along with the butter sculpture, arts and crafts, live music acts, exhibits and African acrobats.  If you are hot, take a cool break in the two automotive buildings featuring many models of cars.  The Tower Pavilion features food galore and with 200 vendors you will not go hungry. If it is rides you want, visit the Midway and try the Ferris wheel.

We travel on Senior Day where admission is free for those of us 60 and older.  If you are under 60, your entrance fee will be $18 at the fair gate.  This is a rain or shine outdoor event with lots of walking and standing.  Wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat and sunscreen.  You may bring food and water into the fair. We will stop at Slovacek’s in West both going and returning.  Departure is from the main entrance at Cowan Creek.

Ticket cost includes transportation and fair admission for those 60 and older.
