Photoshop SIG

Event Date: Monday, September 11, 2017
Event Time: 2:00 pm
Event Category: Meeting

Adobe Photoshop is the big brother of Elements. It has become the standard for image editors. Photoshop CS6 is the last version that could be purchased. Photoshop CC is the new version that you buy through a subscription. CC stands for Creative Cloud. Improvements to CC are downloaded from the internet as they become available. For more details please check out www.adobe.com.  Currently there is a special subscription price for a photographers package of Lightroom and Photoshop.

We meet on the second Monday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Game Rooms 1 & 2 of the Activities Center.

This SIG explores how to use Photoshop CS-CC. Most of the discussions will be using CS6 or CC with some items that would apply to some previous versions.

A typical meeting consists of questions and answers about using CS-CC to develop your images to match how you want the image to appear. A member often presents some aspect or use of Photoshop. We have had presentations on the liquefy filter, writing actions, using NIK Silver Efx Pro and others. We often close with members explaining how they developed their original image to achieve their vision by showing the layers in the psd or tiff file that was used to build the final image. The meeting format is flexible and may change from time to time.
