Have you heard of the roses and gorgeous flowers in Tyler?  Come see the roses, tour homes and gardens, visit the Rose Museum with the Queen’s gowns, and tour the Pearce Museum in Corsicana.

Tuesday: We will make a morning stop on the way to Tyler followed by lunch at Traditions, upscale cafeteria-style dining (included).  Following lunch we will tour the palatial Goodman-LeGrand House and Museum set on a nine acre tract among trees, flowers, and natural rock.  After a tour of the home, enjoy roaming the gardens if you wish.  After check-in at the Holiday Inn Express, enjoy a complimentary wine and cheese reception. Dinner will be on your own at one of the nearby restaurants or the hotel restaurant.

Note:  All hotel rooms have two double beds.  No other options available.

Wednesday:  Visit the Rose Museum and Rose Garden with over 3,000 rose bushes set among the numerous pathways.  The Potpourri, Tyler’s unique dining and shopping experience, will serve us lunch (included).  Lunch options when your purchase ticket: chicken salad/fruit/muffin OR marinated chicken breast/veggie/roll; turtle fudge cheesecake for dessert.  After lunch our docent will guide our bus through the Garden District where we will be able to get out and visit some of the gardens on the 90 minute tour.  Dinner will again be on your own.

Thursday:  As we say goodbye to Tyler, it’s on to Corsicana to visit the Pearce Civil War and Western Art Museum.  You are on your own for lunch, but save room for dessert for a stop at the Russell Stover Candies Outlet Store.  Then we are homeward bound with one rest stop.

Ticket cost includes transportation, 2 hotel nights with full service breakfasts, all venue and tour admissions, and 2 lunches.
