Follies 2017 - European Escapade

Many of our Sun City residents love to travel.
At this year’s Follies, the audience become the
tourists as they take a not too serious look at
eight different European countries. On this
journey you will visit Downton Abbey, an Irish
Pub for a local music night, a French Lido Café to witness the
Can-Can, see some great matadors in Spain, and learn how golf
was invented in Scotland.
The Follies is AcTAG’s most popular performance each year with
sell-out crowds. European Escapade is written, produced and
directed by Jan Noyes. Many of Sun City chartered clubs as well
as a talented team of musicians, performers, choreographers,
sound, light, backstage, set, props, costumes and countless other
volunteers come together for this year’s Follies, which promises
to be a shorter yet powerful and entertaining show running five
nights and ending with a matinee performance on Saturday.
Visual Arts Club “Meet the Artist”
Show and Reception - NEW!
Sunday, March 5, 2-5 p.m., AC, Free
The Visual Arts Club presents its annual “Meet
the Artist” Art Show and Reception. The show
is free and open to the public and showcases
original artwork in a variety of mediums
including acrylic, Chinese brush, oil, pastels,
watercolor and more. Artwork is for sale and will remain on
display through Friday, April 14. Come and enjoy light
refreshments and art demonstrations by members while you
meet the artists and view the show.

Horticulture Club Spring Plant Sale - NEW!
Saturday, March 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sun City Gardens, 104 Sun City Blvd.
The Sun City Horticulture Club will hold their
annual spring plant sale on Saturday, March
25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sun City Gardens,
104 Sun City Blvd. There will be a wonderful
selection of bedding plants, native plants, iris,
vegetables and herbs. As always, the plants offered will be those
that flourish in Central Texas weather. Two types of compost
will also be available for purchase. Come early for best selection.

Garage Sale

Is it time to get rid of things you no longer need
or use? Do you have things cluttering your
home and garage? Twice a year the Sun City
Texas CA and Kiwanis Club host a public
garage sale, a great event for shopping, buying
and selling household items. All garage sale spaces are the size
of a parking space. Select and purchase your space online or at
the Member Services Office.
– All spaces are $45 and include a table.
– Set-up time for booths is Friday, March 31, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
– No setup or vehicle traffic in booth area on Saturday morning.
– Security officers will be onsite to patrol the sale area from
3 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday; however, the safety and
security of your sale items cannot be guaranteed.
– It is advisable to cover all items due to weather hazard.
– ONLY ONE RAIN DATE: Saturday, April 8
How to donate items to the Kiwanis Club
– No TVs, computers or items too heavy for senior Kiwanians
to move!

NO EARLY SALES! Garage Sale set-up time is on Friday,
March 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Garage Sale is open for
shoppers on Saturday, April 1 from 8 a.m. to noon. We will
not allow any set-up on Saturday morning and no items
will be sold prior to 8 a.m. Saturday, April 1. These rules
were designed with safety in mind for all participants and
the rules will be enforced.
