tern Dance sessions. Pattern dancing
is done by couples, but is not limited
to male and female partners. It is done
counterclockwise on the perimeter of
the dance floor utilizing many of the
same steps employed in line dancing.

game played with Chinese tiles. The Sun
City Mah Jongg Club welcomes players

As fall approaches, along with cooler
weather, Pet Club activities will be
picking up. Dog training classes begin
on September 7; beginner, intermedi-
ate and advanced levels will be offered.
Sun City Texas can now boast over 40
Therapy Dog teams and nearly 20 Read-
ing Education Assistance Dog teams.
Training and testing for both programs
are available. Contact the Pet Club at
512-639-1771 for additional information.
The Military Working Dog (K9) program
that had to be canceled in May will be
rescheduled for October. The demonstra-
tion will be held in the Sun City Texas
dog park. The date will be announced
when confirmed. Everyone is welcomed
and encouraged to attend.

The September
meeting will start at 2 p.m. with cook-
ies and conversation. Visitors are always
welcome. You will be given a nametag in-
dicating you’re a visitor or new member
so that club regulars will welcome you
and share information about the club.
The meeting agenda consists of general
club information, a program pertinent
to photography, and commentary on the
Subject of the Month photos, which are
projected for all to enjoy.

Field Trips:
Monthly field trips offer
members great photographic opportu-
nities. Typically, there’s a brief session
prior to the field trip offering suggestions
about photographing the subject, and one
after the trip to share experiences and
participants’ photographs.
Membership:
You are welcome re-
gardless of your level of expertise. Club
dues provide excellent training through
classes/workshops, SIG meetings, field
trips and assistance from experienced,
