& Safety Training at the Woodshop.
The Woodworkers Club is open to all Sun
City Texas residents of all skill levels. All
new members are required to take an
Orientation & Safety Training class, plus
a One-on-One Hands-on Safety Train-
ing Session.
We have several main projects during
the year, including “Toys for Tots,” to
provide toys for less fortunate children
at Christmas and “Camp Discovery” to
provide wooden kit projects to an Ameri-
can Cancer Society summer camp for
children fighting cancer.

Social Activities
Zoomers Social Groups include those
with special interest in books, wine and
beer tasting, table games, movies, bowl-
ing and dining. In addition, there is one
group that sponsors a luncheon with a
speaker focusing on Health, Beauty and
Wellness.
ZOE (Outside Events)
Your ZOE committee is hard at work
scheduling interesting fall trips and
looking into exciting places to travel in
2014. All of our Zoomers outings are al-
ways fully escorted by one of our ZOE
volunteers, as well as our longer tours;
on a Zoomers excursion, you will never
be without a Zoomers volunteer. Look-
ing forward to 2014, proposed plans in-
clude Boston/Cape Cod, American Park
Trail, a Hawaiian Cruise, and many
other weekday and overnight trips to
various fun locations.
ZIE (Inside Events – current mem-
bers only)
Denim&Diamonds will be on Saturday,
September 7 in the Ballroom from 6:15-
10 p.m. Bubba Cox and Can’t Hardly
Playboyz will provide the music. Dress
is Western or casual. Tickets are $12.

The next Zoomers Golf Tournament is
September 15. Following that is the last
golf tournament of the year on October 13.
