September Program
“Garden Solace” presented by Cindy
Allen-Lott, owner of
Dragonfly Floral
and Gifts
in Hutto. Cindy will speak
on how she designs indoor and outdoor
garden spaces using plants, music and
lighting to create relaxing atmospheres
and solace. If you are looking for ideas to
create your own tranquil garden space,
don’t miss this meeting!
The meeting will also include the “Plant
of the Month” and “September Garden-
ing Tips.” During the social, our Master
Gardeners will be available to answer
gardening questions.
If you have leftover plants, garden tools
or items you are willing to give away,
bring them to the September meeting
for the “Sharing Table.” Houseplants
are also welcome!
Dues:
Dues for newmembers have been
reduced to $6 for the remainder of 2013.

ciation Lunch. Now that’s a good deal!
September Gardener of the Month
If you want your yard to survive the
drought and still be green and bloom-
ing, you need to meet Randy Pensabene.
Randy embraced the challenge of us-
ing very little water to create a thriving
landscape. By using only native plants
and hardscapes, she ran her irrigation
system only two times by mid-July this
summer. Her June water bill was only
$30! We are pleased to select Randy
Pensabene as our September Gardener
of the Month. See photo in the
Around
Sun City
section.
