My wife Debby and I moved to Sun City Texas almost 4 years ago after spending 30 years in the rainy Pacific Northwest. Our daughter and her family lived near us, but we are grateful that they decided to relocate to sunny Georgetown, and we quickly followed. We started our married life 50 years ago in Abilene and are happy to be back in Texas.
My last quarter in college I needed one more elective to graduate. I took photography. Back then it involved dark rooms, chemicals, all sorts of equipment, and we just shot in black and white.
Over the years I've taken lots of photos of our daughter growing up, family events, and travels. Now that we are in the era of digital photography, I have been fascinated and intrigued by the multiple options of interest. In retirement, I have been able to learn about and enjoy several types of photography. I continue to enjoy travel photography and am branching into wildlife, action and solar photography. The multiple SIGs in the Sun City Photo Club have been a great learning tool and social outlet. My next goal is to someday photograph the Milky Way.
