Exhibits
Our Exhibits Committee provides numerous opportunities and venues throughout the year for members to exhibit their photography. Exhibit locations in Sun City are Cowan Creek, The Retreat, and the Activity Center.
Hanging dates for on-site venues are available here. Instructions for registering and hanging are below.
Guidelines for exhibits in Sun City venues are as follows:
- Size restrictions: Your framed image should be no smaller than 11x14 in. and no larger than 26 in. on any side (except for the Computer Lab). For the Computer Lab, size restrictions are minimum of 24 inches on the horizontal.
- All frames must have wire on the back (no saw tooths)
- D-rings are recommended to secure your wire
- Adhere your D-ring roughly 2-4 inches from the top of the frame. This will guarantee that it lays flat for our exhibits and your home. When putting on the wire, pull it tight all the way across. Secure the ends as usual. Keeping it tight keeps the wire from rising up over your framed image.
- Always put your name and phone number on the back of the photo
- Please deliver your photo on time.
How to register for an Exhibit venue:
- Go to the photo club calendar and look for the exhibit date
- If you need to go to a different month, just click the arrows that sit just above the month - they can advance you to the next months
- Click on the calendar item to register all information
- Do not put a ? or TBD - you must be ready to fill out the information at that time
- You will get an email confirmation of your registration
