Details,

Meeting place: Parking lot for the trailhead located at the intersection of Sun City Blvd. and Texas Drive. Caution - We have two such intersections. One is near the 4-way stop near the fire station NOT THIS ONE. To get to the correct one continue driving on Sun City Blvd. past the Worship Place to the other intersection of Sun City Blvd. and Texas Drive. Turn right into the parking lot off of Sun City Blvd. This is where we will meet. Should the parking lot be full, there is parallel parking on Texas Drive.

I will not be providing a handout for the plants that I anticipate we will observe; BUT, I recommend you print and bring your own copy from the link which follows:

 https://www.dropbox.com/s/g6hy1akhn5od0ak/Mockingbird%20Trail%20March%2022%2C%202018.pdf?dl=0.

I request that you simply provide me your name on a sign-in sheet that will be provided. Come a little early. I request that you bring some kind of name identification badge so we can all get to know each other better.

Do bring whatever field gear that you require to make you trip safe and comfortable; for example, water, hat, and proper footwear, etc.

The trail is fairly level and only partially mulched. This is a loop trial about 0.75 mile in length. The trail difficulty rating ascribed by our club is Moderately Easy described as having a natural surface (not paved) with no difficult hills.

It is my intent that we 1) Have fun!!!, and 2) Learn more about the beautiful natural plant heritage we have been given here in Sun City.

Any questions? Please do not hesitate to call me at 512-943-8494 or email.
