Dallas Blooms is the largest floral festival in the Southwest with over 500,000 blooms and layers of landscape at every turn.  It has been said a picture is worth a thousand words and how true that is when describing the beauty of the Arboretum at springtime.  Get your cameras ready. You will be on your own to tour the DeGolyer Home, a 21,000 square foot home built in 1940, and the gardens at your leisure.  From cherry blossom trees, daffodils, pansies, tulips and thousands of other annuals, each turn brings something new.

Our lunch at 1:30 will be on the patio of the DeGolyer Home overlooking White Rock Lake and A Woman’s Garden.  The salad trio: fresh fruit with poppy seed dressing; chicken salad with dried cherries; and pecan and spinach salad with bacon, tomato, egg and champagne dressings. Iced tea or coffee included.  Dessert is lemon cream shortcake.  No other meal options available.

Notes: You will be walking on gravel and uneven surfaces with numerous steps so please know your capabilities. This is a rain or shine outing.  We will make rest stops going and returning at Slovacek’s in West.

Ticket cost includes transportation, tour fees, and lunch.
