It has been said that travel inspires people and that exploring the rich cultural diversity and heritage of other people and their countries brings a global unity to our lives and a new appreciation of our home.

Join us today for just such a trip, as we take a guided tour through the exhibits of the Institute of Texas Cultures.  Hear the stories of the many different peoples who have made Texas home over the centuries and learn of the contributions each group has provided in shaping Texas into what it is today.  Included is a special exhibit on the Painted Churches.  Using NASA technology, large-scale photographs of each church reveal astounding details along with our state's rich history of immigrant artistry.

German culture abounds on the grounds of The Pearl Brewery Complex, our lunch destination.  Upscale eateries mingle with one of a kind shops and the Emma Hotel, housed in the Brewery, is a must see.

Our final stop is the Casa Navarro State Historic Site – the 1832 adobe block homestead, store, and office of Texas hero and leader Jose Antonio Navarro.  A rancher, merchant, and one of only two native born Texans to sign the Texas Declaration of Independence, Navarro's story will give us yet another glimpse into the cultural tapestry that has made us Texans One and All.

Ticket cost includes transportation, tour fees, muffin & juice (breakfast on bus).
