Victoria Class Sailboat Regatta Saturday, March 25th on Berry Pond

Event Date: Saturday, March 25, 2017
Event Time: 10:00 am
Event Category: Special Events

The Radio Control Sailing Group is having a one-day radio controlled Victoria class sailboat regatta Saturday, March 25th on Berry Pond. Everyone is invited to come visit and observe. This is an AMYA Green Chevron regatta event. We expect to have 15-25 boats entered from around the State and will sail 15 to 20 races that day. The first race will be at 11 am and the last race will end before 3 pm. The race begins after a 2 minute timed start. The race course after the start will be to a windward mark (typically toward the dam) and then downwind to the markers toward the golf cart bridge. After the 2nd time around, the boats will finish through the original starting line. Boats are scored by finish position with awards to the top three sailors that have the lowest point total. Bring your chair, sunscreen, drinks and hats and join us in what we now do instead of work. Contact Bob Sobotik - [email protected] if you want more information.
