“Uncommon valor was a common
virtue.” The words of Fleet Admiral Nimitz
spoken in 1945 still ring true today at the
National Museum of the Pacific War in
Fredericksburg.
Embark on a self-guided tour of history throughout this 6-acre
museum complex. The complex includes the Nimitz Museum,
George H.W. Bush Gallery, Japanese Garden of Peace, Memorial
Courtyard and Plaza of the Presidents. Lucky for us, the Five
Stars Five Decades 50th Traveling Anniversary Exhibit will be
displayed in the Nimitz Museum when we are there.
Explore the complex on your own timetable, then meander out
onto the streets of Fredericksburg for lunch on your own and
for shopping.
Getting there is easy on this Sun City trip. Leaving may be
harder because the museum complex will enthrall you and
Fredericksburg will charm you!
Ticket cost includes transportation and museum admission.
