Enjoy an afternoon drive through
the Texas hill country to Fredericksburg. We
will arrive at the Marketplatz (Market Place)
on Main Street where you will find a wide
selection of restaurants and shoppes for dinner and shopping
and exploring on your own. Maps and restaurant suggestions
will be provided.
After dinner we will head to the charming Fredericksburg
Theatre for a great comedy, The Wonder Bread Years starring
Pat Hazell (former Seinfeld writer). The show is a fast-paced
and hilarious performance reflected in his likable, easygoing
one-man show.
Raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Hazell refers to himself as part
of the bread basket kids. His generation rarely used seat belts
on their way to Dairy Queen; Lawn Jarts were not considered
dangerous; and Halloween costumes were made from whatever
was found in the closet. “It is language we all speak,” he said.
The show reminds us all that there is still a kid inside each of
us and a sense of wonder that is waiting to be unlocked. Take a
comedic walk down memory lane and bring out your inner child
as we spend a delightful evening in Fredericksburg.
