Are you a fan of HGTV’s Fixer
Upper TV show? If so, you know the impact
Joanna and Chip Gaines have had with
remodeling homes in Waco one at a time. We
will visit the Magnolia Market at their new Silos location to shop,
get decorating ideas, and enjoy the unusual finds. There are food
trucks on site if you decide to savor a homemade crepe or other
delight.
After touring the Magnolia Market we will head to Spice Village
located in the 100 year-old Waco Hardware building. With over
90 shops occupying 30,000 square feet, you will find gifts for
any occasion, clothing, jewelry, vintage finds and home décor.
Lunch is on your own at a selection of wonderful restaurants in
close proximity.
A stop at Buc-ee’s will make this a full day of treats and treasure.
The bus will have plenty of storage for purchases.
This is a full day of black belt shopping! Be prepared for an active
day getting on and off the bus, warm up your credit cards and
be ready to shop ‘til you drop!

Explore the legends and lore of Andean Lunch included – DeGolyer Home
alpacas as we tour the barns and wool rooms
of Peeka Alpaca Ranch. Tucked into the rolling
hills of Burton, this ranch is home to more than
60 fuzzy Alpacas, each named for their unique bloodlines and
individual personalities. Petting and feeding is allowed and
springtime means ‘little ones,’ so don’t forget your camera. After
our tour there will be time to visit the ranch store for alpaca
yarns, clothing, and gifts.
Lunch is on the courthouse square in Brenham. Maps and
menus will guide you to an array of eateries, specialty shops
and historical venues.

Following lunch, we will take a short drive through the historical
town of Independence. Once home to Sam Houston and Baylor
University, it is now home to the Antique Rose Emporium. A
combination of plant nursery, gift shop, and theme gardens, the
roses on display at the emporium are living antiques from the
past. Unlike replicas of antique furniture or art, these roses are
actual descendants of plants from more than 2,000 years ago.
Helpful staff will be on hand to answer questions and there will
be plenty of room under the bus for your purchases.
Note: Before touring the ranch, we will make a stop at
City Market in Carmine.

songwriter, who at age 17, had the #1 hit Will
You Still Love Me Tomorrow. Throughout her
twenties, she was one of the top entertainers in the industry as
well as having her songs sung by artists The Beatles and Bobby
Vee. To show her continued popularity, 400 of her songs have
been recorded by the most famous artists of today resulting in
100 top hit singles. She has received numerous awards and
Beautiful, The Musical won the Grammy for Best Musical and
two Tony awards in 2014. We will be singing all the way home!
Before the musical our dinner on your own destination will be
The Arboretum in Austin. Restaurants include The Cheesecake
Factory, Brio, Blue Bakery, Five Guy Burgers and Estancia.

Dallas Blooms is the largest
floral festival in the Southwest with over
500,000 blooms and layers of landscape at every
turn. It has been said a picture is worth 1,000
words and how true that is when describing the beauty of the
Arboretum at springtime. Get your cameras ready. You will be
on your own to tour the DeGolyer Home, a 21,000 square foot
home built in 1940, and the gardens at your leisure. From cherry
