Texas Hold’em No Limit Tournament
The Poker Club will hold a $10 buy-in

consist of no more than three tables with

Radio Control Modelers

Newly retired or new to Sun City? Looking
for a fun hobby that you never had time to
pursue? Welcome to the RC Modelers. We
build them and we run them: airplanes,
sailboats, helicopters, quads, powerboats,
cars, and off-roaders. Come and learn
how to do it. Lots of members, men and
women new to the hobby or seasoned
hobbyists, will show you how. We’re
just over four years old, and we’ve grown
to over 170 members. We even have a
computer-controlled flight simulator if

you don’t want to do the “live stuff.” We
“fly it” at the weekly meetings. Monthly
we fly rotor craft, small airplanes and
Center Ballroom and do other fun stuff
at Berry Creek Pond. We now have a SIG
for Model Railroads.

We fly small electric airplanes on the
golf driving range that is closed on
Mondays. We fly every evening at the
White Wing driving range 30 minutes
after the golf shop is closed. We need
light wind conditions to fly, so our flying
usually takes place in the early mornings

Self-Defense

The Self Defense Club’s primary goal is
to teach members how to effectively pro-
tect themselves against typical attack and
confrontation scenarios. Training is senior
oriented and no matter what your physical
limitations are, you will learn self-defense
techniques that help you avoid a harmful
encounter.
About this club:
• There are four training instructors with
years of martial arts and self-defense
training
• First two classes are free, so you can see
if this program fits your needs
• Defensive techniques are tailored to
each student’s physical capabilities
• Class is not combative and there is no
significant physical contact
• Lessons are repetitive, so a new or re-
turning Club member can step into the
learning cycle without any problems
• Membership is $10 per year
• Instructor fees are $5 per class, with
fees going to purchase Club practice
equipment
• Special classes will be scheduled in sup-
port of the Parkinson’s Disease Support
Group
• Additional special classes will be offered
for folks who depend on the use of canes
either temporarily or permanently
