WHO is a newly chartered Sun City club
that welcomes all residents. We are a co-
hesive group with a passion for caring,
sharing and serving the extended com-
munity. Our mission is to support exist-
ing charitable organizations with time,
donations and assistance while fostering
camaraderie, fellowship and inclusion.
And yes, men are welcome, too.
We meet the fourth Monday of the month.
The agenda includes a business meeting
and a presentation from a non-profit or-
ganization, followed by a salad luncheon.
The members bring the salads and make
a $10 donation at each meeting. Annual
dues are $10 and may be paid online or
at the monthly meeting. Guests and pro-
spective members are welcome to join us.
Just let us know you are coming so that
we may welcome you. Traditionally we do
not have a general meeting in December.
Our members will be busy baking and
packing cookies for the Meals on Wheels
Christmas deliveries. Please check the
January Sun Rays for our next meeting
agenda.

This is our first year as a Sun City char-
tered club, and we have accomplished our
goals! Our members’ crafts are selling to
benefit local non-profits, we successfully
fundraised for Sun City Meals on Wheels
recipients and we co-sponsored the Faith
Lutheran Church’s Meals on Wheels golf
tournament. Come and see WHO we are.

Training. Please bring your ticket to the
shop to sign up for Orientation and Safety
Training. (As of October 1, your $40 initial tended trips that are varied and appeal to
dues pay for the rest of this year and all
of 2016.)
Membership is open to all Sun City Texas
residents. The shop is designed to accom-
modate woodworkers of all skill levels.
We maintain a fully equipped woodshop
with jointers, planers, table, band and
miter saws, routers, sanders, hand tools,
clamps, and tables for assembly. We sell
at our cost a variety of hardwoods.
We enjoy crafting “Toys for Tots,” to pro-
vide wooden toys for children at Christ-
mas; we also make kit projects for “Camp
Discovery” and help kids fighting cancer
assemble them. All members are welcome
to enjoy working on these worthy causes.
Toys for Tots is a wonderful way to work
with others to acquire or improve your
woodworking skills.
To raise funds for these projects we sell
craft items at the woodshop throughout
the year, do furniture repair at the wood-
shop, and sell craft items at the Annual
Hill Country Arts & Craft Fair.

The ZIE Committee closes out another
day Gala on December 14. All events are
made possible by the dedicated work of

ZOE (Outside Events)
We endeavor to put together local and ex-
all of our Zoomers members. We already
have lots of great excursions in the works
for 2016, and we will continue adding excit-
ing programs throughout the coming year.

golf tournaments and look forward to 2016.
