the time Mother Nature finds it in her
heart to signal the arrival of spring,
their gorgeous gardens provide a last-
ing cavalcade of impressive color right
up until frost.
Out front, tall, stately groupings of
bearded iris in vibrant orange, yellow,
purple and light blue start the season
off. And while the iris take center stage,
closer to the house tiny lobelia, laven-
der and Texas blue bonnets soon start
to join the party.
Not to be outdone, the rear gardens
are dressed up in red Gerbera, cala-
diums, tropical hibiscus, roses, and
an array of other plantings that en-
circle their patio in vibrant hues, all
ready to dazzle garden loving golf-
ers as they pass by. Susan likes to
intersperse some herbs too, for both
culinary benefits and the beauty they

The Poker Club held a Texas
Hold’em No Limit tournament
on July 14, 2015, with 29 mem-
bers participating in the event.
