labor day holiday
All facilities, except CA business offices, will be
open on Labor Day, Monday, September 1. Busi-
ness will resume normal hours and operations on
Tuesday, September 2.
Apply for a CA Committee!

It’s that time again! Last spring, we had the highest number
of volunteers apply to the openings on our CA Advisory Com-
mittees. Let’s do even better this fall! Your volunteering can
make a difference in keeping our community a great place to
live. We had an outstanding group of applicants this spring,
so if you applied and were not selected by the Board, please
do not hesitate to try again.
This fall, we will have 18 positions to fill: Chartered Clubs
(Non-Sports): 1; Covenants: 1; Elections: 2; Emergency Man-
agement: 2; Finance: 2; Golf: 1; Modifications: 3; Property &
Grounds: 1; Sports: 3; and Wildlife: 2. These are the current
openings; there may be more if an incumbent chooses not to
re-apply.

COMMITTEE APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE
Look for the Committee Application forms near our new post-
ers in the Cowan Creek Amenity Center, the lobby of Putters
Café, the Texas Drive Fitness Center, the Activities Center and
the Social Center. There is an online version of the application
on the Sun City Texas website listed above. When filling out
your applications, be sure to indicate your first, second and
third choices for Committees.
These Committees play a vital role in the governance of our
community. We strongly urge you to consider applying for a
position on one of these Committees. Terms are for two years
with the option of applying for a second term. Deadline for
applying is Friday, September 12, at 4 p.m. at the Member
Services Office on Texas Drive. Interviews will be held the
week of October 13.
Our good neighbors to the south are always proclaiming, “Keep
Austin Weird.” By taking an active role on a CA Advisory
Committee, you can “Keep Sun City a Great Place to Live and
Play!”
