Since obtaining its official charter just
a few short months ago, the Couples
Golf Association (CGA) continues to
grow, with membership nearing 200.
More members means more fun and
more friends! If you haven’t yet joined,

part of this friendly group of golfers with
varied skill-levels. Also, on the website
calendar, you will find a list of all upcom-
ing play days and social events through
the end of the year.
The CGA Bluebonnet Match Play Tour-
nament will conclude on Friday, May 2.
We have two play days scheduled this
month. On Saturday, May 10, there will
be an 8 a.m. shotgun start at Cowan
Creek with a barbeque lunch to follow
at Cowan Creek Pavilion. We’ll wrap up
a busy month with an 8 a.m. shotgun
start at White Wing on Saturday, May
31. Watch for event sign-up times on the
website under Events. Join us today and
let’s play!
WGA 18-Hole Group

Spring is here! Beautiful weather for
golfing—Tuesday playdays are popping.
In May, a coffee will be held to welcome
all of our newmembers. It’s a really nice
way for our newmembers to meet our of-
ficers and committee chairs. Barb Jeppe
is our membership chairwoman.
Tournaments
Our 2014 Eclectic Tournament was held
on April 7-8 at Cowan Creek. Our next
tournament is the President’s Cup—it
will be held on Monday, May 19 at Lega-
cy Hills and Tuesday, May 20 at Cowan
Creek. A social in the Cowan Creek Flor-
ence/Georgetown rooms will follow play
on Tuesday. Check our webpage for our
full 2014 tournament schedule and sign
up information.
Golf Clinics
Golf Clinics with Golf Pro Lee Matthews
are being given for the WGA 18-holers.
The clinics are held on Tuesdays at 4
p.m. and 5 p.m., and focus on our short
games. All the information about these
clinics is on our webpage.
Meetings
Our next general meeting is Tuesday,
May 6 at The Oaks at Legacy Hills. Our
remaining meeting schedule for 2014 is
June 3, September 2 and November 4.
These meetings immediately follow play
on Tuesdays.
