The Sun City Texas Pet Club closed out
2013 feeling much accomplished. New
members were added, new dogs attended
training classes, we participated in the
Emergency Training focusing on animals,
participated in The Blessing of Animals
held at the Cowan Creek Pavilion, pre-
sented “Senior” canines for adoption from
local shelters, and amassed donations for
the three Williamson County shelters. A
couple planned events did not happen, but
efforts are being made for rescheduling:
Fort Hood Canine Corp and an additional
pet adoption date. Stay tuned for further
information on these activities.
Looking ahead
Dog training classes start again on Janu-
ary 11; classes are held at the Legacy Hills
Pavilion. For more information, contact
Tom Olsen at
.
The initial general meeting will be
Wednesday, January 22 at 6:30 pm. Please
plan to attend in the Activity Center
Atrium―humans only! Speakers are to
be announced.
Donations to the Pet Club’s Toy & Treat
Drive for shelter animals has been over-
whelming. Club President, Tom Olsen,
may have to vacate his garage if it gets
much fuller with items. (A good problem
to have!)
As with the above successes, you, the club
members, are responsible for what we are
able to do with and for animals. Give your-
self a much deserved pat on the back!
Happy New Year!
