The Hunting & Fishing Club hosts a
community-wide Trout Fishing Tournament on
Sunday, February 10 from 8 a.m. to noon at the
Berry Creek Pond. Several hundred rainbow
trout will be released prior to the tournament,
and all Sun City residents are invited to watch
or participate.
The Mountain dulcimer players present
their annual concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday,
February 10 in The Worship Place Sanctuary.
The concert is presented as a fundraiser for The
Caring Place. Donations accepted in the form of
cash or checks (preferred); canned or dry goods
also accepted. See you there!
The Garden club will feature a panel of
Master Gardeners at their February meeting
on Wednesday, February 13 at 12:30 p.m. in the
Florence and Georgetown rooms at Cowan Creek.
They will discuss gardening challenges and how
to stay water wise.
The Foreign language club presents its
Third Friday International Series on February 15
at 1 p.m. in the Atrium. Resident Margo Torroll
will discuss travel and culture in Greece. All are
welcome to attend.
On Tuesday, February 19, the Nature club
will host guest speaker Dan Marek, owner of
the Georgetown Winery. Dan will speak on his
grape harvest after the drought of 2011 at 2:30
p.m. in the Ballroom.
The Horticulture club invites residents
to an Open House on Saturday, February 23
from 2-4 p.m. at the Sun City Gardens, 141 Sun
City Blvd. Residents can get a tour of the garden
and the new fully-automated greenhouse, and
learn how to become a member or rent a raised
garden bed.
The Actors & Theatre arts guild presents
its musical extravaganza, the 20th Century
Follies! This annual show offers skits, great
music and plenty of laughter. Performances run
from Monday, February 25 through Saturday,
March 2. Tickets are $14 and available online
or at the Member Services Office.
