Here are a few examples of what you will find in our Special Collections section:

Large Print

The Sun City Library has a substantial collection of large print books. Authors represented are as diverse as V.C. Andrews, Michael Connelly, Patricia Cornwell, Sue Grafton, John Grisham, Iris Johansen, Fern Michaels, James Patterson, and Stuart Woods.

Staff Picks

In Staff Picks you will find new books with a copyright date of the current and previous year, Best Sellers from the New York Times Best Seller list and books that our volunteers recommend.

Harlequin

Romance novels, as defined by Harlequin, “are stories that are usually simple, with a happy ending.”

Note:  We also have an excellent selection of exceptional contemporary (realistic fiction) and romance novels located on the central fiction stacks.

Pocket Westerns

Pocket Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, produced the first mass market of small pocket-sized paperback books in the United States in early 1939, which revolutionized the publishing industry. And they are still popular today.

Texas

We are proud to have a collection of Nonfiction and Historical Fiction books about the "Great State of Texas."

DVDs & Audio Books

The library retains a substantial inventory of videos and audio books. Videos are identified with a green dot on the album cover spine, by using the first two letters of the video title. Audio books are identified by using a blue dot with the first two letters of the author’s last name. We do not accept VCR tapes, cassette tapes or any music media.
