Y'ALL HAVE SAVED 4.6 MILLION GALLONS OF WATER!
Sun City Water Conservation Program is Working
Congratulations Sun City, during the first six months of 2019, you have used 4,663,000 gallons of drinking water less than the same period in 2018. That figure is very good because there were 346 more homes in Sun City during 2019 versus the start of 2018.

Everyone obviously heard about the new City of Georgetown Water Restrictions that were initiated in early August. This was done because of an increase in outdoor water use. The City of Georgetown had reached 85 percent of water treatment capacity and enacted Stage 1 of their Drought Contingency Plan (DCP).
The City asked Sun City residents to reduce the irrigation run time by 10 percent. While we are still under a DCP, please continue to honor the City’s request.

If you are planning fall modifications to your flower beds, please consider installing DRIP Irrigation. A properly designed and installed DRIP system in your beds, can save over 1,000 gallons per month during the growing season versus the spray head method. Just ask your landscaper to give you a quote to convert to DRIP.

It's the Law
Remember, only you and/or a Texas licensed individual can install, modify and/or repair your irrigation system. If the person working on your sprinklers does not have a license, that person is breaking the law. All licensed people must have their license number displayed on their vehicle. Licensed Irrigators’ numbers will have nine (9) figures, with an LI and seven (7) numbers, LI0001111.

Thank YOU for helping Sun City conserve water. Remember, every drop counts.

GETTING RID OF ALL THAT STUFF

Amendment to 2019
CA Budget
Submitted by Ann Dodson, Director of Finance

At the end of June, the HOA’s projected operating surplus for 2019 was $300,000. In an effort to lower the reserve contribution for 2020 and reduce taxable income for 2019, staff and the Finance Committee proposed a change to the 2019 Budget to increase the reserve contribution by $300,000 (from $1,450,000 to $1,750,000). The Board voted unanimously to approve the transfer at the August 22, 2019 Board Meeting.

With the approved change to the 2019 Budget, $216 of the annual HOA dues of $1,170 will go to the 2019 reserve contribution. It’s important to note that your HOA dues for 2019 (this year) will not be increased, rather we are simply allocating the projected surplus to the reserve.
