Do you love movies and trivia, and are you competitive? We will be hosting a movie trivia event at The Retreat before our showing of A League of Their Own. If you think you know more about Tom Hanks and 80's movies than your Sun City friends and neighbors, join us for a 30-minute trivia game before the movie starts. There will be prizes! As America's supply of athletic young men is depleted during World War II, a professional all-female baseball league springs up in the Midwest, funded by publicity-hungry candy maker Walter Harvey. Competitive sisters Dottie Hinson (Geena Davis) and Kit Keller (Lori Petty) spar with each other, their grumpy has-been coach Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks), and scout Ernie Capadino (Jon Lovitz). Madonna and Rosie O'Donnell co-star as teammates. A large cup of popcorn and a can of soda will be included with your ticket. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages to add to the festivities. Doors will open at 12:00 p.m. and the trivia quiz will start at 12:15 p.m., so don't be late or you'll miss all the fun! The movie will begin at 1:00 p.m. |
