The 1973 Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade legalized abortion in the United States and touched off a conflict that still rages today.  At age 27, Austin attorney Sarah Weddington became the youngest attorney to win a Supreme Court case.  The case centered around Norma McCorvey ("Roe") who was unable to get an abortion in Texas. In 1970, Ms. Weddington filed suit in Texas on behalf of Roe challenging the law for all women. The Supreme Court heard the case in 1971 and 1972, ruling in favor of Roe in 1973. There are no politics in this play - facts are stated from a human point of view without prejudice. Note: Mature audience production.

Before the 2:30 matinee, enjoy lunch on your own along Second Street. Choose from PF Chang's, Café Blue and many others. Note: Be prepared to walk over uneven sidewalks to get to restaurants.

Ticket includes transportation and theater ticket. Maximum tickets: 48
