The inspiring story of Oakland Athletics' general manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) who faces huge salary constraints and realizes he must reinvent his team to find a competitive advantage. Billy then challenges old-school baseball traditions by using statistical data to analyze and recruit bargain-bin players the scouts have labeled as flawed.
