Taylor going counterclockwise around Granger Dam to Granger at 27 miles as rest stop, then back to Taylor (long route goes further west)
DESCRIPTION: Mainly flat with beautiful farmland.
DEPARTS: Wednesday May 18th @ 8 a.m. Current loop counterclockwise, although depending wind direction, may post clockwise route.
FROM: Louis Mueller's Barbecue, street parking & angle parking on north side of Heritage Square at 4th & Main
SHORTER ROUTE: 44.5 miles with 1,307' climbing
- https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39354051 - 44.5 miles leaving Taylor and traveling east along south side of Granger Dam, then loop east and north of Dam with store stop in Granger and south back into Taylor.
LONGER ROUTE: 49.5 miles with 1,414' climbing
- https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39353836 - 49 miles leaving Taylor and similar to 44.5 miler, travels east along south side of Granger Dam, then loops east and north of Dam to store stop in Granger, then travels 7+ miles further west to FM156 and loops back to Taylor.
LUNCH: Louis Mueller Barbecue - a bit pricey, yet worth the quality & experience.
