Feb General Meeting

Our speaker this month will be from Helping Hands of Georgetown.

Our February Meeting will feature a special presentation from Shasta Thomson of Helping Hands of Georgetown, a local nonprofit providing outreach to those in need, with a focus on the homeless in Georgetown.  

Founder Robert Weimer, now retired and a fellow resident of Sun City, along with the help of his family, friends and local donations created a way to empower those less fortunate with the means to grow and succeed. Since its inception in 2015, Helping Hands has grown to serve hot meals every Sunday night and nearly 600 weekly brown bags meals. They expanded services in 2020 with the pandemic underway, by launching a Mobile Food Pantry to improve their outreach. They now serve over 100 Pantry bags each week throughout Georgetown.
