JANUARY HIKE WITH N48

Connect with your neighbors and get some exercise at the same time!

We will hike the new Cowan Creek trail in North Point on Saturday, January 22nd. We'll park at the Cowan Creek Amenity Center Pavilion and walk on the sidewalk to the Cool Spring Way bridge to access the trail-head. There is a bird blind at the end of the Cowan Creek Trail. It's just a little over 2 1/2 miles round trip to go to the bird blind and back to the pavilion. The trail is rated EASY – wide and mostly level. It winds through wooded greenbelt and meadows and follow the creek – perfect for a winter hike.

We'll begin by meeting at Cowan Creek Pavilion and walking on sidewalks to the trail-head. Let's meet at 10:30 AM at Cowan Pavilion. We'll end up back at the Cowan Creek Pavilion, so anyone can meet us there around Noon for a bring-your-own-picnic lunch after the hike to visit with your neighbors even if you prefer not to hike!  Remember to bring water, sunscreen (we'll cancel the hike if it's raining), hat, a snack & maybe a hiking stick.

Register on the N48 website by Saturday, Jan 22nd, so we know to look for you.
