With a voice as smooth as silk accompanied by a heartbeating Irish bodhran drum, Andrea Magee effortlessly weaves between country, blues, pop and rock. Born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Andrea had an early start in music, playing traditional Irish music in a family band. Traditional folk songs, steeped in hardship and the reality of the time, inspired her song writing style, which is always anchored by an emotional pulse and tribal rhythm. After moving to the U.S. six year ago with her British music collaborator Ben Jones, they formed the powerhouse musical duo Beat Root Revival, which toured globally with the likes of Jeff Bridges, Brian Wilson, Jonathan Jackson and Brian Setzer. Now calling Austin home, Andrea's solo sound is taking center stage, making a spell bounding impact on the local scene.
