5 Bocce Ball courts have been reserved for N87 for neighborhood play beginning Monday – 11/2 from 3 PM to 5 PM, every other week for the remainder of 2020. The courts are located behind the Texas Drive Amenity Center.
Play dates are: 11/2 – 11/16 – 11/30 – 12/14 – 12/28 (mark your calendars!) Don't know how to play? Don't worry, it takes maybe 5 minutes to learn!
There is no need to sign up, just show up on the day of play! I'll be sending out reminders the Friday before the Monday that we play. If you can remember, please wear your name badge.
I'm a member of the Bocce Ball club and I'll be taking care of court reservations and showing those that don't know how to play the basics of the game and guiding the games. We will play in 20 minute increments with two teams of two on each court (4 people). Then the winners of each match will move down one court. It's all for fun!
Per the Bocce Club, masks are optional and there is plenty of hand sanitizer at the courts. They ask that you use hand sanitizer both before and after play.
Normally we would gather on the Bocce Patio to socialize after the games, but the CA has not released usage of the patio yet. So, those that would like to socialize a little bit after the game are invited to my back yard (BYOB and snacks), and I'll crank up the firepit!
