Formed in 2016, Sammy's Satin Sounds is made up of seasoned professional jazz musicians. The band is dedicated to providing swing music for the vibrant swing dance community in Austin, as well as in other cities. This group is a Benny Goodman tribute band, playing arrangements of swing standards of the 30s and 40s, in the style of Goodman's small ensembles. Their source material comes directly from the Benny Goodman's recordings of that era. Sammy Satin Sounds aims to present the swingin' sounds of the swing era in an authentic manner. Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages and enjoy a great evening of swing music in our Ballroom! |
