Level 3, Walking Tickets for this event will go on sale Thursday, August 1 @ 8 a.m.  The Texas State Fair is the largest in the country drawing almost three million visitors during its three-week run. Famous for its Fletcher's Hot Dogs, the Fair also has every kind of food imaginable along with exhibits, cars and live music. Livestock shows and animals are in abundance and don't miss the butter sculpture, arts and crafts and photography exhibits! If it's rides you want, don't pass up the Ferris Wheel standing at a whopping 21 stories and the Midway! We attend on Senior Day when the admission is free for those 60 years and over. Younger residents must pay the $18 entrance free. Since this is a large venue, be prepared for a lot of walking and standing. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a hat and sunscreen.
