Considered one of the finest zoos in America, the San Antonio Zoo houses more than 3500 animals representing more than 700 species and one of the largest bird collections in the US. Explore the Savanna where the big cats roam; for underwater views of hippos and Nile crocodiles, journey through Africa Live! Stand eye-to eye with a giraffe as you feed him fresh lettuce leaves; experience the amusing antics of the Lorikeets, small playful parrots that will sit on your shoulder for a nectar treat. Journey through rain forests where primates play, cross lagoons full of flamingos and spend time in the colorful world of butterflies. Grab your camera and come along—exciting adventures await! Lunch on your own at the zoo is your choice of Longnecks Grill or Beastro Cafe for pub-style fare. Trip cost includes transportation and zoo entrance.
