View some of the most classic automobiles ever manufactured in the USA. Dick's Classic Car Museum is a climate controlled showcase of over 80 rare and unique automobiles from Duesenbergs to Corvettes, along with a large array of classic memorabilia and a gift shop. While at Dick’s, we will have a picnic lunch. Choose Schlotzsky’s sandwich with ticket purchase: ham, turkey, or veggie (no meat). All sandwiches come on a baked sourdough bun with Genoa salami, melted mozzarella, cheddar and Parmesan cheeses, black olives, lettuce, tomato and signature dressing. Chips, pickle, cookie, and bottled water included. Following lunch, it's off to The Toyota Visitors Center, a show room for the Tundra and Tacoma pick-up trucks and the staging area for our tour. Outfitted with hard hats and safety glasses, we will board a motorized tram to tour the 2.2 million square foot manufacturing facility. We will follow the overhead conveyors through all production points from Parts to Final Line assembly. From teams of computer-controlled robots using state-of-the-art technology to the Plastics Shop where critical components are made, this tour highlights Toyota's world renowned Production System and how team building produces an award-winning vehicle. NOTE: Toyota requires long pants, short or long sleeved shirt, closed-toe shoes and a valid photo ID to enter the factory. Purses, back packs, cameras and phones must remain on the bus.
